"I couldn’t recommend Edith more highly. It has become an incredibly valuable tool in my ADHD assessment work, and I’ve used it for every assessment since I was introduced to it. The platform itself is excellent. The team are incredibly kind, attentive and genuinely helpful, offering thoughtful guidance around how to get the most from the platform and always being very responsive when I’ve had questions. Edith harnesses the power of AI in a way that feels genuinely useful for clinical practice, while maintaining rigorous standards around data protection and confidentiality - something that is particularly important in our field. It has also been a huge time-saver. It can bring together information from multiple sources, whether typed notes, audio recordings, questionnaires or even photographs of hard-copy information, and produce high-quality reports that reflect your own templates and style of writing. Rather than producing something generic, it learns how you structure and formulate your reports, which makes the output far more clinically useful and personalised. The transcription functionality has also allowed me to be much more present during assessments rather than constantly trying to capture everything in my notes. Being able to manage and send the relevant questionnaires to clients and observers through the same process makes the whole assessment pathway feel much more streamlined. Overall, Edith has significantly reduced the administrative burden of ADHD assessments without compromising the quality of the work. It allows me to spend more of my time on the parts of the assessment that actually require my clinical expertise and attention. I’ve benefited enormously from using it and would highly recommend it to other clinicians carrying out ADHD assessments."

Shadow AI is not a physician phenomenon
Shadow AI - clinicians using AI services their employer has not approved - has so far been studied among physicians. But the drivers behind it are at least as strong among psychologists. And bans won't fix them.

It's not the note that takes time. It's the report.
We asked 75 psychologists where the time and energy actually goes in assessment work. 64% point to the final report as the most time-consuming part, not the clinical note.
